FAITH FORMATION has three committees:
-
The Children's Ministry Committee meets monthly in the parlor or Youth Room.
It is open to all Cross and Crown members.
Annette Downey is the contact person.
The committee's purpose is to educate young children and teens about their faith in a loving, Christian environment. It provides teachers and programs for:
-
Sunday school classes
-
Youth Group gatherings and events
-
Vacation Bible School
Some of the committee's special projects are car washes, babysitting, and lock-ins.
-
The Adult Discipleship Committee meets as needed in the parlor.
It is open to all Cross and Crown members.
Darragh Bailey is Chair and Keith Whitener is Council Liaison.
This committee plans and executes activities for adults to grow spiritually and deepen their discipleship. It helps members achieve these goals by providing opportunities for them to share their faith across generations and engage in spiritual disciplines. Often members gather in small groups for these activities.
-
The Stewardship Committee meets as needed in the parlor.
It is open to all Cross and Crown members.
Ron Taylor is the contact person.
This committee organizes the congregation's annual campaign to strengthen each member's commitment of their time, talent and financial resources for the church's well-being and growth.
